As a third-generation “builder,” Maryn’s roots run deep in Kansas City’s construction landscape, though she’s more at home with Canva and a camera than a hard hat. Her unique perspective is shaped by both her family legacy and her innovative approach to digital marketing, social media, and brand storytelling.

Maryn’s journey began with an early passion for leadership and entrepreneurship, honed through active involvement in DECA and specialized coursework during high school. Her drive for excellence propelled her to graduate from Kansas State University in just three years, earning a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management.

Along the way, she achieved certifications in Social Media (K-State University and HubSpot), Graphic Design Essentials (Canva), and Lean Six Sigma White Belt (Council for Six Sigma Certification), demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Maryn’s career trajectory is marked by a blend of hands-on experience and strategic vision. As a marketing intern at Ashlar Homes, she helped launch creative campaigns that significantly boosted social media engagement and refined the company’s brand identity. Her natural affinity for the industry combined with her fresh, digital-first perspective quickly led to her full-time role as Marketing Specialist, where she continues to drive impactful campaigns and foster genuine connections with Ashlar’s community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maryn’s character and leadership are shaped by her faith and her service to others. She has served as a Family Ministry Intern, planned and led events for young women across Kansas City, and participated in overseas mission trips that broadened her worldview and deepened her compassion. Maryn’s resilience is further evidenced by her ability to balance academic achievement, ministry involvement, and personal challenges, including overcoming health hurdles and navigating the transition from college to a thriving career.

Maryn was honored with the prestigious Curtis Kerr Memorial Student Assistant of the Year Award, a testament to her reliability, leadership, and impact within her community.
